Serengeti Dairy Project: Executive Director

Looking for an allround Executive Director!

We are looking for a suitable kandidate to lead the dairy facility. The Executive Director is responsible for good supply of milk, happy customers, smooth production process, efficient logistics, healthy finances and satisfied employees. Additionally, she/he keeps in contact with members of the farmers coöperatieve, financiers, political stakeholders and of course with the customers. 

Requirements:  

  • connector
  • keeps oversight
  • strong in communication in cultural context
  • sees opportunities, but can also calculate risks
  • can handle crisis situations and is flexible
  • speaks English and Swahili, or willing to learn Swahili
  • can deal with both farmers, local politicians and customers (hotel owners/managers)
  • can work alone, but can also ask for help
  • well educated (college or higher) and preference for previous experience in NGO/Startup work
  • knowledge about dairy is welcome
