Serengeti Dairy Project: Sustainability Officer
Looking for a great Sustainability Officer!
The sustainability officer ensures that the production process runs in the most sustainable way possible. Think of: circular and climate neutral. She/he makes sure technology is effectively put into place (solar energy) and researches possibilities for further innovation. The sustainability officer is also in charge of ensuring good agricultural/lifestock practises on the side of the farmers. For this, she/he notices when lifestock/agricultural practices are threatening the land and researches/put into place ways to increase sustainable practices. Finally, the sustainability officer is responsible for organizing projects aimed at regreening and sustainable community projects.
Requirements:
- knowledgeable about environmental problems and solutions
- knowledgeable about and/or interested in design, circularity and sustainabile/innovative agriculture
- knowledgeable about sustainable agricultural practices, or willing to learn
- good communicator
- speaks good English
- good researcher
- innovative thinker
- knows when and how to reach out to other parties for knowledge/help
- education: masters level or higher
